Vaccination Celebration!

The first thing the boy and I decided to do after being fully vaccinated was get a professional pedicure. We went to our favorite place, and were happy to see the salon team remained happy and healthy. We got the brightest, most festive colors in the shop!

World’s Weirdest Gel Pedicure

I thought it would be fun to do a pink pedi to celebrate Valentine’s day. I got some new color changing gel polish for Christmas. One of the colors changes to pink when hot and purple when cold. Usually the nail is half and half and looks sort of…diseased. I won’t be doing color changing toes again! While it’s really fun to witness the unexpected temperature changes in my feet (why is that ONE toe warm???) it doesn’t make up for the weird disease look I get every time I step out of the shower. Just to give you an idea, my toes are warm and pink when I step out of the shower, then cold water drips onto my toes making dark purple splotches. It’s just….weird!

Professional Pedi

I treated myself to a professional pedicure at a salon I’ve never been to before. The experience was fantastic, but I did get a smudge on my big toe. Oh well, still looks great!

Teal Toes

This is one of my favorite summery way to do toes. Glitter on toes is fantastic because you don’t have to worry about taking the polish off.

Christmas toes!

My Christmas nails were so much fun, I decided to do matching Christmas toes.

I did them exactly the same way as the nails. I usually avoid green on the toes because from head height they look moldy. But this totally works and is festive without being moldy!

This one is just silly. It’s not even a very good pedicure. Just cracked me up though how the shimmer gold nail polish disappeared in the carpet! Ha!

Summertoes

Here is another fun and colorful summer wedge sandal pairing. This is the lovely Color and Go purple.

Just look how fun! Just in time for summer.

It’s sunny and warm outside. Time to bring out the dresses and sandals. And cute pedicures.

The polish is a lovely light lilac purple color that has no name or code. They are highlighted nicely in these summery wedge sandals.

These delightful toes were painted with Essense Color and Go polish. I love the brightness of them, and how the color shines differently in the sunlight versus the shadows.

You can sorta see it in the photo, the toes on one side are in the shadow and the big toe on the other side is in the sunlight. Hard to fully capture, but it’s there. Looks good, methinks.

Tinsel toes

I couldn’t resist trying out one of the new jewel glitter polishes from LA Colors that the boy’s mom got me for Christmas. I tried it on my toes, and I love the unexpected holographic effect so much that I can’t wait to try them on my manicure. I seriously can’t wait! I used a black base, Sinful Colors in inkewell. The effect is totally dimensional. I was expected just a glittery overcoat, but this was quite nice.
I tried a different polish I got a long time ago that is a celestial confetti. It is the same color as the LA Colors, and I thought if they were both kinda sparse, they’d go well together. That is the little moon you see on one toe. Turns out that stuff is way too sparse. The LA Colors looked this good with just one coat.
