Short Circuits

Iny excitement to use my new dotting tool again and use my new super bright awesome green color, I decided to try to draw circuit boards on my nails.
I started with the bright green base. Then I added lines with a darker green.

This is where it got tricky. With the brush I used, I simply couldn’t get little thin lines. So the result is more English garden maze than circuit board, but hey, it’s all fun. I used the dotting tool with sparkling gold for the sauder, but you can’t really see it, further adding to the maze-like result.

Last Christmas the boy gifted me some dotting tools for my nails. This opens up a whole world of nail art opportunities. The arrangement of everything needed for this manicure is displayed below:

Sadly, I haven’t tried out the dotting tools until now becuase my purple hair has been bleeding on my nails too much.  Do I want purple nails? No? Well, you get purple nails anyway! Well, now my hair has finally faded to a light pink and my nails aren’t turning purple anymore. Well, now us the time!

I started out with a pale blue polish as the base.

Then I drew some brown branches on with the dotting tool. The boy gifted me brushes, too. The brushes may have made more sense for this type of work, but I wanted to use the dotting tool!

Then, I dotted on some pale pink blossoms with the Polish I use for French manicures.

Lastly I added some bright red over the blossoms. This is where I noticed that the nails looked better messy than crisp. I spent some time smearing the blossoms a bit and viola!
Happy spring everyone!
