Ziggy Stardust

I am in love with the outcome of this week’s manicure. It’s actually been over a week as I type this. The polish is chipping. The stars have longs since fallen off. But I can’t start fresh yet! The one just turned out so damn cool! I used the weird chunky large confetti stuff and shimmery silver powder. It looooooks so cooooool. Like a nail nebula. Like a silver solar system.

chartreuse

This is another color I got as a gift this year. It’s a funky fun summery yellow. Unfortunately, I think I smeared it on too thickly, because it bubbled as you can see. It’s an Insta-Dry bottle. I guess because I thought it would dry so fast, I thought I could glomp it on. Not the case! Oh well, it’s still a fun color!

I have these large “pieces” of things that are supposed to go on nails. I am not sure exactly what they are. Charms? Confetti? They have to be picked up individually with tweezers and placed on the nail. I tried sprinkling them on the nails for this week’s manicure, and it didn’t work well. The pieces are so dense they stand up in the wet polish and still have to be placed and the polish gets waves in it and what not if they are not set down carefully. I was going for a spring collage. The result is more….nursery room? Baby bottle? Lucky charms cereal? I’m not sure, but thy were fun to do and the outcome….unique.

The golden polka dots post

I think this post might be cursed. I actually did this manicure months ago, but I had a very hard time posting it. For some reason, the photos wouldn’t load, or the post wouldn’t save, or something went wrong every time I tried. I ended up having some ten drafts with broken links and garbled text. Let’s hope this one works!

I started with Colors that gel envy in a teal, but layered several coats to get a deep green. Then I topped it offs with dots of a new light gold I got for a gift.

The outcome was fun, and entertaining to match with scarves and different outfits.
