Orange-ya Glad?

I dyed my hair a fire engine red so bright that it glows orange in the sunlight. So, of course, one must have nails that match! I used masking guides to stencil in chevrons. Oddly though, I failed to take any photos of the finished product. I am not sure how this happened. Well, all the nails have red-orange-red chevrons and the accent nails have orange-red-orange chevrons. They sort of blend all together and you can’t really tell the accent nail is different. You aren’t missing much my not seeing the finished product. Although I am baffled…how did I not get a single picture?

Mirror, Mirror on the Nail

The boy gave me this fancy 2-part mirror nails ages ago. I tried them several times and the result was a shiny grey. Disappointing. Nothing like a mirror at all. I decided to look them up on the great, all-knowing internet and blog after blog showed pictures of them looking like mirrors, just as advertised. What was I doing wrong? I dug deeper. This is a 2-step process and as it turns out, I was doing it BACKWARDS. Who new that the “top coat” goes on first and the “base coat” second?! Well, there you have it. Reserve the order of the 2 bottles and you get perfect mirrors. The polish doesn’t last long, like, not even a full day, but it is so worth it!

Tell it With Your Toes

Went to the fun little pedicure place down the street (yeah, the one where the ladies remembered my name after one visit!) and got this LOUD pedicure. I am hearing them loud and clear.

It’s hard to do green with pedicures; the color looks moldy right quick. But add some sparkles and make is a teal and everything works OK.

Baby Sparkles

And here we are with some powder blue and the most subtle of sparkle top coats. You have to be out in the sun to see it shine.
